Hi!
My name is Mary Ogilvie, and I'm a lover of travel, deep conversations, twinkle lights, breakfast potatoes, and putting wildflowers in my hair. In 2009, I picked up a DSLR camera for the first time, and I immediately fell in love with the way photography allows me to capture the beautiful + imperfect parts of life.
I'm an INFP, a proud Hufflepuff, a yoga instructor, and a "cold weather person." Also, I'm a huge fangirl when it comes to Harry Potter, Hamilton, and Star Wars. My high school sweetheart, Colin, and I got married in January of 2013--he's my very favorite person in the whole world.
My first 26 years of life were spent in Oklahoma City, OK (love you, OKC). In February of 2017, Colin and I dropped everything so we could spend 4 months living in England with our lovely friends! When we came back, Colin accepted a job in San Jose, CA where we now live with our dog, Bozeman. We love California so much, and these days we spend most of our free moments exploring this beautiful place! For more on that whole story, you can read my blog post about it here.
One of my passions is helping you feel free to embrace your own beautiful life + not to chase after someone else's!
I've always been someone who sees the whole world as a poem and a playground. My favorite photos are the ones that feel like a dream--the ones that pull you in and transport you into the moment captured.
I work with natural light for my photography, and I'm passionate both about capturing your life the way it already is (because it's really, really beautiful) and working on styled shoots that boost creativity and allow us to play around with color, style, and fun locations!
