Friday Phone Dump
“Just in case no one has told you lately, the mere fact that you keep choosing to show up everyday after everything you have been through only points to your strength.”
1-10) Lots of details from two weekends ago including a gorgeous wedding dress for the styled shoot I did recently (more on that later), hanging out to read and snack in the park, Bozeman making himself comfortable in our bed, riding BART to Oakland, more Rose Garden days, and some pretty moments in our neighborhood :)
11-16) Last week, my dear dear friend, Aubrey, came to stay with us for a few days. Aubrey has lived in China for the past 7 years, and the last time we got to see her was almost 3 years ago! I picked her up from the Oakland airport and took her straight to one of our favorite spots, The Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve. It’s still green with plenty of wildflowers, and I kind of want to live there! ps— some of these photos were taken by Aubrey, who is a very talented photographer :) If you see any photos of me or Colin and me, they were probably taken by her! (thanks, Aubrey!!)
17-32) On her second day here, I took Aubrey to Santa Cruz and Davenport for a windy and foggy beach day- never ever ever gets old.
33) We picked up Thai food when we got back to San Jose, but we had a little time to kill first. So, of course, I had to show her Palm Haven Park because it’s just so fun :)
34-55) We ended Aubrey’s time here in San Francisco (insert happy dance here)! We started off by picking up her sweet friend, Bethany :) Then we drove up Twin Peaks, picked up lunch at Souvla, drove up to the Marin Headlands, had a picnic with epic views, then drove all over the city. Eventually we parked and walked up to Coit tower before having pizza in North Beach and dropping Aubrey off at the airport. Also, I love that selfie of Colin and her on BART. We miss you already, Aubrey! <3
56-61) Saturday morning, I went to Santa Cruz with my friend, Shannon and San Jose Creatives, for a photo play date/styled shoot in the Opal Creative Studio. Florals are by Kat’s Flower Affair and the model in the photo above is the lovely Design By Brianna. The shoot was really fun, but by that afternoon I was in pretty bad shape. I took the rest of Saturday and Sunday off to recover from feeling icky. That last photo is me working for Everlane on the unmade guest bed after doing laundry. It’s been one of those weeks!
62) On Monday we had the styled shoot that I and my friend, Pauline, have been dreaming of since about September. I’ll (obviously) post the photos here when I can, but for right now I’ll just tell you who all was involved :) It was a Modern/Art Nouveau bridal shoot at the Hotel De Anza in downtown San Jose. Model: Paulina Perrucci, Makeup: Pauline Farace Beauty, Hair: Rochelle Dingman, Dress: Pronovias from Brides of California (dress helper: Felicia Segura), Flowers: Flower Divas, Cake: Cake Expressions, Invitation Suite: SF Letter Designs, Vintage Accessories: Park Place Vintage
More photos to come!
63-69) And that about sums up what the rest of the week has looked like! Lots of flowers and sunshine and walks to the Post Office (it’s just been a busy mail week).
This weekend we'll still be recovering from our busy past 2 weeks. Let’s be honest, we’re probably going back to the park at some point :) I hope your weekend is full of sunshine!
xx
