Friday (Saturday) Phone Dump
“Are you in the deep, fumbling for the light? — Adhere sweet friend, there’s much to be found (in the hidden places).
Are your eyes facing north, the change written brightly on the sun? — Run into the rays.
Is your heart hungry for truth and flowers? — Eat such things for breakfast.
Wherever you are standing — stand.“
Tess Guinery // The Moonflower Monologues
1) Porch time is a very important part of each day now…for all of us :)
2) OMG. A few weeks ago, my best, Bethany, and I were talking about new things we want to try, and long boarding was at the top of the list for both of us. We joked about learning how to ride as a just-turned-30-year-old (me) and a 29-year-old-due-any-day-now-pregnant-woman (Beth) and I thought that was the end of the conversation. Then my birthday present showed up in the mail from her….I. am. so. excited. I’m holding off on trying to ride right now while the pandemic is keeping our hospitals full, but once it feels safer, you’ll find me practicing in a parking lot with full protective gear like an 8-year-old. THANKS BETH LOVE YOUU
3-10) Quarantimes continued; featuring Spring in San Jose and Bozeman stopping to smell the flowers with me haha
11) This makes me laugh every time I see it! We got to chat with Tom and Ro in England recently, and they sent us this sign that’s been posted in all of their local parks. I miss them and England and sunbathing and picnicking <3
12-13) Quarantimes continued; featuring lavender that smells even dreamier when warmed by the sweet sun.
14) Bozeman takes couch snuggles very seriously.
15-31) Quarantimes continued; featuring increasingly warmer days with brighter and brighter colors
32) This puzzle is taking forever, but it’s been fun to work on it while Colin works from home. Also please note his newly dubbed “Monday mug” hahahaha
33) Our neighbors have taken to drawing lovely encouraging things on their sidewalks, which make walking around even more refreshing :)
34-42) Quarantimes continued; featuring this epic rose wall, Bozeman sleeping in various spots around the apartment, and golden hour being as yummy as ever.
43-60) Quarantimes continued; featuring Colin being caught off-guard next to an ivy wall and so. many. flowers.
61) Our sweet Harry Potter and the Sacred Text group meeting virtually to discuss a chapter from Prisoner of Azkaban - I’m so freaking grateful for this crew.
62-69) Quarantimes continued; featuring wisteria hysteria, switching to sandal weather, more delicious golden hours, melting beeswax candles, and bundles of fresh chamomile
This weekend we’re relaxing as best we can. We’ve also been working our way through the Marvel Cinematic Universe (I don’t remember if I mentioned that here before, but we’d only seen 3 movies before quarantine…now we only have 5 left!!!!!!), so we’ll be watching more of those as well.
I hope you and yours are safe and well, wherever you are.
xx
